ShopSabre: Finding the Right Partner in LFM Capital

Here we introduce ShopSabre Founder and CEO Jim Bombardo and his sons, Brandon, Sales & Marketing Manager, and Chris, Manufacturing & R&D Manager. In choosing LFM, Jim really valued LFM’s operational experience. Knowing that LFM truly understood ShopSabre’s business made Jim feel more comfortable and more confident in selecting LFM.

ShopSabre is a leading designer and manufacturer of CNC routers and plasma tables that are used in a variety of high-precision machining operations to cut wood, steel, aluminum and other metals. Founder Jim Bombardo launched ShopSabre out of his garage in 2001.  He was trying to help his wife launch a craft business by building a machine that would automate her process.  In doing so, he had an “ah ha” moment and ShopSabre was born.

Jim appreciated LFM’s understanding of his business and real-world manufacturing experience.  In short order, LFM worked side-by-side to help grow the team, move into a larger facility and invest in new equipment.

As LFM Managing Director Dan Shockley says, “we have a passion for manufacturing and that passion brings itself into everything we do.” Here at LFM we believe that small manufacturing companies provide the foundation and infrastructure for our country’s critical supply chains  and we will continue to look for opportunities, like ShopSabre, to grow and build on that foundation.
